The next major NASA science mission will be the launch of the Nancy Grace Roman space telescope. The next-gen scope will have a field of view 100x's that of the Hubble telescope. and will observce in the infrared like JWST.
For May, NC A&T professor Dr. Charlotte Wood, who serves on this project, will preview.

April 11, 2026 -- For the third year in a row, the Greensboro Astronomy Club has honored a significant contributor to the area astronomy community. This year's honoree is Danny Lineberger, a long-time GAC member and lynchpin to GAC outreach, as well as club historian.
