The History of the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute

 Over the past three decades, Don Cline's philanthropic efforts have fashioned quite a legacy in astronomy education and public outreach, including construction of observatories at GTCC and Guilford College, he also established the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute. Don will discuss PARI's history.

RECENTLY, UNCG ANNOUNCED THE INTENTION TO CLOSE THE PHYSICS AND ASTRONOMY PROGRAM. GAC STRONGLY OPPOSES THIS DECISION AND RELEASED THIS STATEMENT.
