GAC Observing Sessions 2024

Greensboro Astronomy Club offers free, public observing sessions each month. We alternate between Haw River State Park and Mayo River State Park.

(NOTE: MRSP/HRSP ARE CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST OCT. 31, AS RESOURCES HAVE BEEN REASSIGNED TO WESTERN NC FOR THE HURRICANE HELENNE RECOVERY EFFORT).

AS SUCH, THIS YEAR'S REMAINING SESSIONS ARE TENTATIVE PENDING THE REOPEN OF THE STATE PARKS.

• Lunar Observing, Dec. 7th, April 6th, Sunset

In addition, we host observing sessions at the Greensboro Science Center on the fourth Friday of each month (in conjunction with the GSC Laser Shows), and other sessions throughout the year. All public observing sessions are free and open to the public.
